Our experts with ten years of experience will take all your wishes into account. For us, the most important thing is that the whole process is effortless and easy, and that you can be involved in every step of the process. We’ve done everything we can to make ordering a suit from us both easy and inspiring. In this blog, we want to take you step-by-step through how to place a personalised order with us and what to consider at each stage.

Place your order! Either by sending a message or completing the order form

Send us a message by email to aistarg.info@gmail.com or fulfil our order form at our website: https://www.aistarg.fi/tilaus/. In the message or on the order form, you can tell us:

  • For which kind of sport, competition or performance are you ordering a costume.
  • When do you need the costume?
  • What kind of budget have you planned for the costume?
  • You can also tell us a bit about your idea for the style of the costume (color, fabrics, music, program theme), but we can also go through these together!

Well reply to your message as soon as possible, usually the very next working day, confirm the costume making times and agree with you how we can proceed with the project!

Design meeting

Meeting at Aistargs studio, a remote meeting or an email – we have the flexibility to go through the details of the costume in different ways. The most important thing is that you let us know the details you want, so we can work together to create a costume that looks just like you! We’ll agree together on the best way to communicate.

We will usually go over the details of the costume, choose fabrics, decorations and materials and agree on the exact budget for the costume.

P.S. If you are from a different city or country and don’t have the opportunity to visit the studio, we will send you fabric samples by mail! This way we can ensure a perfect ensemble together, regardless of the distance. The perfect finish can be achieved entirely by remote ordering!

Drafts and renderings

Drafts and drawing models – our designers will create 1-3 drafts according to your wishes and send them to you by email for approval. Along with the drafts, we will send you an exact cost estimate for the cost of the costume. You can comment on the drafts, our designer will take your wishes into account and make the necessary changes for the final draft! The competition costume must look perfect when drawn. This will also ensure the finished product is perfect. Modifications can and should be made!

You must approve the drawing model and the budget by email! After that we are ready to start the manufacturing process.

Taking measurements

We begin the process of making the costume with measurements. To do this, we will take your measurements in our studio. If you are from different city or country, we will email you detailed clear instructions on how to take your measurements and a chart to record your measurements. We will support you with the measurements, and if you need help you can always send us a message.

The first fitting

The first fitting is done to check the fit. At this stage, the suit is not yet completely finished to ensure a perfect fit. Especially for the more difficultly fitting competition costumes, it is a good idea to try them on when they are still slightly incomplete. We are always happy to invite you to come to our studio to have your costume fitted, but if you are from another city or country and cannot make it, we will send you the suit by post, possibly already fully complete. If the costume needs some repairs, you should send us your requests for alterations and take photos or videos of what needs to be corrected. You will then send the costume back by post for repair. Fit finishes are a natural and important part of the process of making a custom-made costume!

The final fitting

At the final fitting, competition costume is completely ready!

PICK UP THE DRESS

You pay and pick up the dress from our studio. If you are from different city our country, we will send you the costume by post.

We ask you to order the costumes in advance, because we need enough time to make the costume.The sewing alone takes 1-5 days depending on the complexity of the work. There is almost always a queue for sewing at the studio during the busiest season. In addition, you have to take into account the timetable for fabric deliveries. We do not always keep in stock all the fabric options you choose, as our catalogues are very extensive. Orders for fabrics are placed from Italy, Germany or England and delivery times can be 1-2 weeks. However, this ensures top quality fabrics for the costumes!
